Chapter 40: Are there two Adam?

"Are you here to listen to your story?" He was still walking ahead of them when he asked.

"Wh-what? My story? Do you know me?" Eun Hye was surprised.

"Adam called me today. He visits me every Valentine's but today he didn't come here, so when I asked why, he said he had found his Eve. And see, now you are here."

Ae Ra was alerted. She stopped Eun Hye from following him further, "What nonsense is he talking about? Eun Hye be careful, I am warning you, do not act immature. Let's return."

"Wait Ae Ra, it's alright. Let's just listen to him. If you still feel its wrong we'll leave right away." She assured her and dragged her forward. She then turned to the bishop, "Father, how would you know my story?"

"The Holy Bible." By now he had reached near his desk, he smiled and continued, "When the Adam himself has recognised his Eve then who am I to judge his judgement?"

Ae Ra interrupted, "Hold on. Are we talking about two different people? Are you not talking about that artist Adam? The one who has been escaping the investigations, the one who raped innocent women calling them Eve and whatnot?"

"Dear child, I am talking about the artist Adam but not the one you know."

"Oh, so there are two people with the same name and both are artists, is that it?" She questioned further, her eyebrows showed her disbelief.

"Have you both read the story of Adam and Eve?" The bishop didn't answer Ae Ra's question and asked further.

"No." Replied Eun Hye.

He immediately handed them The Book of Genesis (first book of Bible)

"Read this first. Let's talk more after you read this." Saying this he left both of them alone and went inside.

"Seriously Eun Hye! Tell me honestly have you taken up another wierd case? Is that criminal your patient now? Do you not check backgrounds of your patients?"

"No Ae Ra, he's not the one you are talking of.. the criminal you know must be someone else." Eun Hye just didn't believe Ae Ra, well, she herself met Adam and he was not at all like that, her psychologist mind was certain.

"You are blindly believing a stranger Eun Hye." She angrily warned her, picked up her sling bag and walked out of the cathedral.

Eun Hye could only look at her back and say nothing, obviously how could she convince her, Ae Ra was thinking practically and was more or less right. Eun Hye, thus, brought back her focus on the book.

Its cover was brown coloured with the title written in golden calligraphy. It was a Korean translation of the original book. She turned a few pages to finally find a chapter on the story of Adam and Eve.
